Shakespear Sonnet 97
This is the introductory paraphy of an explication paper of Shakespeare sonnet number 97.
William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 97 discusses a relationship he is having with a woman that is coming to an end. The relationship is ending, so there is a lot of change surrounding him, and his feelings. The seasons in the sonnet are used as a metaphor for these changes that he is having to be dealing with. Because of this, the poet speaker goes on to use a sense of hope to justify that the change in his life will be like summer, and several other things.. The process of the changing seasons as a metaphor for the changes in his life, the delusional thoughts he has, and the use of hope to justify his attempts to cope with the changes, are central themes that are used in the sonnet.
